In the UK at around the age of 9 to 10 schools start to bring in the idea of three types of learning, Auditory (To Hear), Kinesthetic (To Touch/Feel) and Visual (To See). The idea is that you find the way you learn best - it is different for all people - and you stick with it. So that in the future you may tailor your learning to what helps it to pass into your head the best, making sure it does not go out the other side. As a blog, this has always been very Visual; although I try to offer up the Kinesthetic approach by giving links to products and explaining things. But it's about time I put something forward for the Auditory learners.
Introducing! *Drum roll please* Tales of a Rookie, now in all new video format!
The video's will be less regular than the blog, but they will try and follow much the same journey as the blog does. Each project will be documented and I will give my thoughts as I go along. However the slight swing on this is that it is much more geared to getting you involved if you have the stuff you need. I will be explaining every step along the way and making sure you understand what everything does before you start off.
This episode kicks off the new series with by plunging straight into our first project; a Stop of Green Game! This game is a reaction test game where the aim is to press an button when the green LED flashes! I use the Arduino as the base Microcontroller to make everything run, and then breadboard everything else! I won't go into too much detail, as that would just spoil the video, but we will be carrying on with this project over the first few episodes, developing it as we go along!
I hope you enjoy the new video format, any constructive criticism would be much appreciated! In the next blog I will be giving an account on the latest developments with the robotic arm as I said I would in the last entry!
