On a family visit to the Yorkshire Dales there was space to fit my Versa Wing in the boot, I didn't want to miss the chance, even if it was too windy to fly in the end! The views would be great and I wanted to get some nice footage to really see the potential of my set-up.
So on a surprisingly calm day in Yorkshire I got my chance! Up on a hill I found a suitable place for take-off and landing, managed to shoo the sheep away with a quick blast of the engine, and the TAKEOFF! The plane flew nice and steady in the air and I allowed others to have a look through the goggles first so they could see you view. I was told it was pretty dark looking up there and that I should be careful when looking in certain directions, but that would not deter me!
As you will see in the video, when I got to fly FPV I was fine! The plane flies fairly smoothly although I still need to sort out the dual rates and expos for possibly smoother flying. The footage is great and I am so glad that I got the chance, and that I took it. As you can see I am not to adventurous in the video, as there was little chance in getting the plane back if I crashed away from my landing site!
Hope you enjoy!
